Every relationship has its own story
A compassionate, confidential space where both of you can be heard.
When closeness has quietly turned into distance
There are times when couples can find themselves feeling distant, misunderstood or caught in patterns of conflict that seem impossible to change. Conversations become arguments, silence replaces closeness, and the relationship that once felt safe can begin to feel lonely.
If this feels familiar, you're not alone. It's okay to reach out and ask for help.
In my experience, couples rarely come to therapy because they have stopped loving one another. More often, they have lost their way beneath the pressures of everyday life, past hurts, misunderstandings or experiences that neither partner fully understands. Beneath the frustration, there is often a longing to feel heard, valued and connected again.
There is no wrong reason to ask for help
Couples come to therapy for many different reasons. Whatever has brought you here, my role is not to take sides or decide who is right or wrong.
- Relationship conflict
- Communication difficulties
- Infidelity and trust
- Intimacy
- Parenting and family pressures
- Life transitions
- The lasting influence of earlier relationships
- Childhood experiences
A conversation where both people feel heard
Therapy offers a compassionate, confidential space where both partners can slow down, listen differently and begin to understand not only each other, but also themselves. Together we can explore the patterns that have developed within your relationship, helping you move away from blame and towards greater understanding.
My approach is informed by Psychodynamic, Relationship, Person-Centred, CBT and Solution Focused therapies, always adapting our work to the unique needs of your relationship. I trained in Couples Therapy with an experienced Relate Psychotherapist and have over 19 years of therapeutic experience working with adults and relationships.
“My role is not to take sides or decide who is right or wrong, but to help create a conversation where both people feel heard and understood.”
Whether your hope is to rebuild trust, reconnect emotionally, strengthen communication or simply understand one another more deeply, therapy offers the opportunity to begin that journey together.
